Dodge City - 'Cut on the Bias'

August 1, 2016

On July 27 I had the great honor and distinct pleasure of appearing on a dear friend's radio show - an episode entitled 'Cut on the Bias'. How exciting! Margaret Dodge, stand-up comedian and writer, New Yorker and erstwhile Maineiac, has been 'holding on by a thread' here in New York since 1992. Her show, Dodge City, which currently broadcasts live on Friday nights at 7pm on radiofreebrooklyn.com, is an hour-long comedy talk show that 'looks at the lives of New Yorkers in the hyper-gentrified, post-911 city.' At first I was worried that I barely qualified, but having lived in New York for over 10 years, Margaret reassured me I most definitely did. We had not really been in contact for a while, another byproduct of busy New York life, and I was somewhat worried that we wouldn't have enough to say, or easily share our usual witty rapport. I needn't have worried because that hour sure went fast! I'm not going to give away any details, you should take a listen - if not to my episode, then to one of the eleven other podcasts, searchable by the series name, available on iTunes. I admit I was nervous (it's been many years since I did a live radio interview), but I had a complete blast, and our post-show adrenalin-come-down was greatly aided by local Mexican food, topped off by continued catch-up. What a pleasure...
