We are all storytellers.

 

Without you, the play doesn't happen. But we all need a little help; a mindful, outside eye. I trained as an actor and know what it’s like walking into audition after audition. As a director I have sat behind the table many, many times. A single person does not necessarily have the magic formula or know exactly what will book you the job. It's a mixture of effort, bringing your ‘A’ game, and that unquantifiable ‘edge’. I always say, if you believe you brought your best, the rest is out of your hands. You can’t know what the director has in their mind, and the truth is it may change, maybe because of you.

 

What I know for myself—I sincerely hope to be true of all directors—is that I want you to be great, I want you to be the answer to my problem.
